As a guiding principal, and one of the primary keys to the firm’s business philosophy, partners Alan Winnikoff and Carina Sayles are directly and deeply involved with all aspects of the strategy, management and execution of every project. Sayles & Winnikoff co-principal Alan Winnikoff shares in the strategic direction and overall management of the company. He was previously one of the founding executives of Sony Wonder, the family entertainment division of Sony Music. He has also held executive PR and marketing positions at the cable news channel MSNBC and at IDG Books, the publishers of the “For Dummies” series. Other companies and properties with which he has been associated include Paramount Television, MTV Home Video, Disney Television and “Sesame Street.” Alan serves on the Board of Directors of Global Arts Corps, an international non-profit theatre and film company dedicated to using the power of the arts as a catalyst for change in post-conflict societies.
Sayles & Winnikoff co-principal Carina Sayles shares in the strategic direction and overall management of the NYC based PR firm Sayles & Winnikoff Communictions, which she founded with partner Alan Winnikoff in 2004, and now works out of the firm’s California office. Sayles has held executive positions at the PR firms Goodman Media International and Pryor & Associates and in-house positions as director of media relations for the CBS Television Network and as manager of advertising, publicity and promotion at Walt Disney’s Buena Vista Television. She is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Maxwell Steinberg Award for her TV series campaigns. Sayles’ expertise also extends to music, high profile licensing and publishing companies, non-profits, sustainability and viticulture/the wine industry. She has served on Agriculture, Open Space and Environmental Policy boards in her former home state of New Jersey and is a member of the Children’s Media Association, BAFTA (for which she’s headed the kids’ committee), and the International Academy of Television Arts& Sciences. Sayles is a graduate of Princeton University and New York University.
Senior Vice President Jayne Wallace was previously director of corporate communications for Sprint, handling Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile and the launches of Assurance Wireless and Sprint Prepaid.
Before that, she served as vice president of corporate communications for Virgin Mobile, directing internal and external messaging through the company’s explosive growth, branding and re-branding, product and service offerings, an IPO and life as a public company.
Wallace has represented start-ups, major brands and such notables as Virgin’s Richard Branson and the head of neuroscience and neurosurgery at Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center in New York. Other experience includes American Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, American Express, Jewish Federation Council of Los Angeles, Sarasota County Democratic Party, USA Networks, and Working Woman Network.
Senior Director Aimee Miller joined the Sayles & Winnikoff team in 2019. Prior to working at S&W, Aimee practiced PR in the healthy lifestyle niche. Aimee also has experience working with non-profits. Aimee graduated Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Public Relations and a minor in Business Management. As a student, she was very involved in Quinnipiac’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, where she ran their social media accounts. Aside from her work, Aimee enjoys reading novels, exercising and spending time with her family and friends.
Account Executive Kelly Cleary joined the Sayles and Winnikoff team in October 2021. Kelly comes from a strong beauty background and has just over 3 years of experience working in marketing and public relations. In her previous work, Kelly worked on traditional public relations, integrated programming, social strategy, and influencer marketing (paid and organic) for clients in the beauty, lifestyle and wellness industries. Kelly graduated from Ramapo College with a B.A in Communications, where she specialized in Marketing. Kelly ran on the track team at Ramapo, and continued her running career after college by running the NYC marathon in November 2019. She has completed a few half marathons as well and looks forward to many more races ahead.
Account Executive Stephanie Dallara joined the Sayles &Winnikoff team in 2021. Stephanie has practiced PR and social media in a number of industries, including food and beverage, real estate, lifestyle, travel, and tourism. Stephanie graduated from Ramapo College with a B.A. in Business Administration, and a concentration in Marketing and minor in International Business. She was heavily involved with multiple philanthropic clubs on campus, including running the Relay for Life social media platforms and helping plan the campus-wide event. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys working on her personal blog, going on runs, and watching a lot of TV shows.
